Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I know if my vehicle needs an HSRP?

In most states in India, HSRPs are now mandatory for all classes of vehicles registered before specific dates (which vary by state). Check your state RTO notification, but assume it is mandatory if you do not already have one.

2. What is the difference between an HSRP and a Colour-Coded Sticker?

The **HSRP** is the main high-security number plate itself. The **Colour-Coded Sticker** (or Third Registration Plate) is a small sticker pasted on the inside of the windscreen (for four-wheelers) indicating the vehicle's fuel type and registration authority.

3. What if I enter the wrong Chassis/Engine Number?

This is a critical error. The plate is manufactured based on these numbers. If you enter incorrect details, you may need to cancel the order and rebook, which can be complicated. Double-check all numbers before final payment.
